The AGA currently has a seat on the National Working Party on Pesticide Application (NWPPA) which is working on several fronts to help our industry eg Drift Reducyion Technologies to minimise down wind buffer zones.
The AGA has commissioned a report by Professor John Hunt on training ground-rig operators across Australia. The summary of this report is due for public release and comment in the near furure.
The AGA has representation on the Productivity Security and Investment Commission (PSIC) trying to get complimentary licencing between states and Control of Use legislation the same in each state.
The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) have agreed to harmonise their legislation, this has yet to happen. Licencing similar to a driver's licence, legal across borders, is still a work in progress.
